Katrina – Businesses Affected, Donation Matching
Homestead is matching donations(up to $50,000) to The Greater New Orleans Foundation, Baton Rouge Area Foundation, The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, Community Foundation of Sarasota County, and Community Foundation of Greater Jackson that are made through this link. It started out with just friends, family and customers, but we decided to open it up to everyone. At times like these, I’m glad I’m at a company that cares.
Also, we are trying to build up a list of small businesses and organization with websites who were affected by Katrina that could benefit from some traffic. If you know of anyone who meets that criteria please let us know via that page.
Source Code Search – syntax aware
Huihong launched codase today!
Rather than treating code as text, Codase understands programming languages, and treats code as code, the way it’s supposed to be. It provides the most accurate and detailed search results with fine granuity levels of contols. With Codase, one can search functions, classes, strings, constants, macros, comments and other programming language constructs.
Codase can do free form text searches AND makes it easy to search just method names or class names. The results are also pretty-printed(formatting and colors).
141 hits on a search for methods named doit. Who knew?
Gameboy Micro Video
Gamespot has an excellent video preview of the Gameboy Micro, including a shot of a black Micro without it’s faceplate.
Gameboy Micro News
Gameboy Advanzed, a news site, has a collection of information on the Gameboy Micro. This page would be an excellent WIKIPedia entry.
DailyGame has a nice, fairly hi-res shot of the included Gameboy Micro faceplates.
I’ll be picking up a black Micro on 9/20/05.
Blog Outage
FYI, blog.ronin64.com was down for most of Monday, 9/5/05. The hosting provider initially thought it was localized to the database, but it sounds like they had to restore all data from backup. All of my data seems to be restored, though.
