Amanda: Get 51%.
For me, and I assume many others, RocketBoom and Amanda are synonymous. I’m NOT going to automatically subscribe to the ‘new’ RocketBoom, however I WILL automatically subscribe to the next show Amanda does. Same thing happened, for many, with David Letterman and Howard Stern.
So, my advice is this, Amanda. You have the leverage. IF you continue to host RocketBoom, get ownership of 51% or more so this kind of problem doesn’t happen again.
Sounds like lots of people respect the other party in this agreement, Andrew Baron. For all I know, he’s in the right. I don’t think it matters. RocketBoom will lose a ton of viewers and momentum without Amanda. I think it would be a bargain for him to pay 2% to get Amanda back.
