Sony announced that all proceeds from their new game, an online version of the Pirates Constructible Strategy Game, will go to Childs Play, the incredibly awesome (3 years running) charity organized by Penny-Arcade!
Honestly, a move like that makes me completely disregard the alliwantforxmas indiscretion. Way to GO!
New Camera! Canon SD630
I bought a new camera for Beth and myself today at Costco – the Canon SD630. Huge display and 6 megapixel images. Nice. I haven’t owned a digital camera (other than camphones) since my first 1 megapixel Olympus. This is going to be a nice upgrade.
Frank’s New Business Model
Frank just announced InkOogle for tablet pcs. InkOogle makes it a lot easier to search Wikipedia, Amazon and Google on a UMPC. That’s great news in itself, but the thing I find most interesting is how users pay for the app.
The app is free. Customers trigger micropayments in the form of affiliate payments each time they buy something from one of the online stores listed in InkOogle. That’s a win-win situation! Customers pay nothing for the app and the developer still gets paid!
